Overcome stigmas associated with disabilities by challenging them directly. That’s what Rebecca Andre does. A Carleton University student who has several chronic conditions, she received the Dr. John Davis Burton award. It goes annually to the post-secondary student who has made the most significant contribution toward awareness, equality and integration of persons with disabilities within Ottawa’s educational community.
